How a show day runs

The plan
01

The drop is set per show

The venue publishes no bus lot or bus drop-off point, and each show sets its own. We confirm the drop and where the bus waits with the venue or the show office the week before, and the driver has it the night before.

02

Surface lots, one level

The center sits on its own surface lots, 1,200 spaces in the main lot and 600 in the auxiliary lot, and the building is all on one level, which matters for display cases and for anyone using a wheelchair.

03

The bus waits through the show

Round trips are quoted with the wait built in, so the ride home leaves when the booth is packed, not when a car service turns up.

04

One contact, one number

One coordinator sets the plan, the driver has the team lead’s cell the night before, and a changed time goes to one number.

How booking works

Three steps
Step 01

Send the show, the date and the headcount

The show name and your exhibitor or attendee instructions, if you have them, are all we need.

Step 02

One all-in number the same day

Gratuity and fuel are in the number. Tolls are itemized at cost.

Step 03

Approve, and it is on the calendar

Invoiced to the company or the school, receipts your back office can file, driver info the day before.

Right-sized for your group

8 to 55-plus

A booth crew of 12 rides a Sprinter. A 30-person sales team rides a mini coach with room for the cases, and a school’s college-fair trip rides a 55-seat coach.

Sprinter Van
Up to 13 Passengers
Mini Bus
23–29 Passengers
Mini Coach
35–39 Passengers
Full Coach
55 Passengers

Bigger group? Multi-vehicle moves run as one coordinated plan with one departure time.

Questions, answered

NJ Convention & Expo Center FAQ
Where do buses drop off at the NJ Convention & Expo Center?
The venue does not publish a bus drop-off or a bus lot, and each show sets its own arrangements, so we confirm the drop point and the waiting area with the venue or the show office before the date. The main entry and lobby are at the east end of the building, by Hall B.
How far is Edison from the city?
About an hour from Midtown or Bergen County on a weekday morning, about 40 minutes from Newark and under half an hour from Staten Island.
Can you run a shuttle from the hotels?
Yes. The Raritan Center hotels are about ten minutes from the hall and the Edison and Woodbridge hotels 15 to 20, and a loop is timed to the show hours.
Does the bus wait during the show?
Yes. Round trips are quoted with the wait built in, and the bus waits where the venue or the show puts buses.
Can this be invoiced to the company?
Yes. The quote is one all-in number with gratuity and fuel in it and tolls itemized at cost; a 25 percent deposit holds the date and the balance is invoiced seven days out, by card, ACH or check. NET terms and POs are available for established accounts.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. We provide COIs on request and can name your company as additional insured where your contract or the event requires it.
Who operates the bus?
A licensed motor carrier from our network, under its own authority and $5M liability insurance. Glyde arranges and coordinates the trip, and the operating carrier and its USDOT number are on your confirmation. You deal with one contact and one number throughout, and the driver’s cell reaches you the night before.
