A tasting trip with a group means a day of short hops between stops, a route somebody has to plan, and a drive home nobody should be doing. Glyde runs private brewery crawls and winery tours for groups across North and Central New Jersey, the Hudson Valley and Long Island. You pick the stops or tell us the region and we plan the order; the group boards once at your pickup, the driver handles every leg and the timing at each stop, and the same vehicle takes everyone home. Vehicles seat 8 to 55, from a Sprinter for a friend group to a full coach for a company outing. Rates run $200 to $300 per hour by vehicle size with a 5-hour minimum; a firm quote comes back within a day.
Four regions
Taprooms across Bergen, Passaic, Morris and Essex counties. Pick the ones you want or tell us how many stops; we put them in an order that works with each one’s hours and hold the schedule.
Vineyards in Hunterdon, Warren and Monmouth counties, on the wine trail or off it. Tastings run on the winery’s clock, so the day is built around the hours they keep.
Wineries, cideries and distilleries up the river in Orange, Ulster and Dutchess counties. A full-day booking: out in the morning, tastings through the afternoon, home in the evening.
Long Island’s vineyards from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or Nassau pickups. A full-day booking; the group boards once and the driver handles the drive both ways.
Board once
The bus arrives at your pickup — a house, a hotel, an office or a train station — and the group boards once. The driver moves the vehicle from stop to stop while the group is inside, keeps the day on the schedule you approved, and takes everyone home on the same vehicle at the end. Nobody in the group drives, navigates or watches the clock.
The bus is not a bar. Tastings happen at the wineries and taprooms; the vehicle is the ride between them and follows the carrier rules that apply to it. What comes aboard is confirmed with you before the day, and the driver’s call on the day is final.
Timing. Each stop gets a window on the schedule. When the group wants longer at one, the driver stays; time past the quoted window bills in 30-minute increments at the hourly rate, never as a surprise fee.
Who books what. Booking the tastings is yours; running the bus is ours. Tell us the confirmed stops and their times and the schedule is built around them. If you have a region and a headcount but no stops yet, say so and we propose an itinerary for you to approve.
What the quote covers
The quote states the full window the vehicle is reserved: the drive to your pickup, every stop, the wait at each one, and the drive home. There is no per-stop charge and no second trip out. Weekends are the same rate as weekdays.
Fall Saturdays at the wineries and December weekends at the breweries book earliest; send the date once the group has settled on one. The quote you approve is the invoice you get.
8 to 55 seats
Size the vehicle to the people riding. A friend group of ten takes a Sprinter; a company outing of 40 takes a mini coach; beyond 55, two coaches run the same stops on one plan and one quote.

Rates are $200 to $300 per hour by vehicle size with a 5-hour minimum per vehicle, billed garage-to-garage: the drive to your pickup, every stop, the wait at each one, and the return. Every quote includes 10% gratuity and a 5% fuel charge up front; bridge, tunnel and congestion tolls are itemized at cost. Date, pickup address, headcount, and the stops you have in mind or the region you want. A rough start and end time is enough; approximate is fine.
One itemized number: base hours, 10% gratuity and 5% fuel already in, tolls listed at cost. No account, no deposit to see it.
Approve the quote and place the deposit; the vehicle and driver are reserved. The balance is due seven days before the trip.
You get the driver’s name and cell by email the evening before, with the pickup and the stop order restated. On the day, one call reaches the driver directly.
