Who we move

Visiting groups
01

Tour operators and travel companies

Art, architecture, food and history programs from Europe and Asia with a tour leader or docent in charge. The coach follows the program and the driver follows the tour leader.

02

Universities, schools and study tours

Faculty-led groups and student delegations on a fixed itinerary, with the same driver from arrival to departure and one adult in charge of the count.

03

Trade offices, delegations and companies

Official and corporate visitors with a schedule of meetings, site visits and dinners across Manhattan and New Jersey, invoiced to the organization.

04

Receptive operators and DMCs

Agencies in New York that need a coach for a client group: a quote per program, the driver’s details ahead of the date, and one person to call.

05

Teams and performing groups

Sports teams, choirs and ensembles with equipment, moving between the hotel, the venue and the airport on one plan.

How a program runs

The plan
01

The airport arrival

The flight is tracked, the coach is at the terminal when the group clears customs, and the bags ride in the luggage bays with the group, not in a second vehicle. Say how many large suitcases are coming and the vehicle is sized for them.

02

The days in the city and the day trips

Museums and neighborhoods in Manhattan, Dia Beacon and Storm King in the Hudson Valley, the museums of Philadelphia, a day in Washington: the coach stays with the group for the day and the driver waits where the venue puts buses.

03

Overnight programs

On a program that moves city to city, the same coach and driver stay with the group for the whole run. The driver’s hotel on the overnight legs is the one extra, listed before you confirm.

04

One contact across the program

One coordinator sets the plan, the tour leader has the driver’s cell before the first day, and a changed time goes to one number.

How booking works

Three steps
Step 01

Send the itinerary and the headcount

Dates, flights, the hotel, the day-by-day plan, how many passengers and roughly how much luggage. A rough draft is enough to price.

Step 02

One number per day

Gratuity and fuel are in the number and tolls are itemized at cost, so the quote is the price. Parking at venues and the driver’s hotel on overnight legs are the only items outside it, named on the quote.

Step 03

Confirm from anywhere

A 25 percent deposit by card holds the dates, the balance is due seven days before the first service, and the receipt and the booking summary follow by email for your accounting.

Right-sized for your group

8 to 55-plus

A group of 12 with a day’s luggage rides a mini bus; the same 12 without bags ride a Sprinter. Thirty riders ride a mini coach, and a 50-person tour runs a full coach with the bays for the bags.

Sprinter Van
Up to 13 Passengers
Mini Bus
23–29 Passengers
Mini Coach
35–39 Passengers
Full Coach
55 Passengers

Luggage decides the vehicle as much as the headcount. Say how many large suitcases are coming and the quote names a vehicle with room for both.

Questions, answered

Tour Operators & Visiting Groups FAQ
Do you meet international arrivals at JFK, Newark and LaGuardia?
Yes. The flight is tracked, the coach is at the terminal when the group clears customs, and the bags ride with the group. Send the flight number and the headcount and the arrival transfer is priced with the rest of the program.
Will a small group with a lot of luggage fit?
A mini bus carries a group of a dozen with its suitcases. A Sprinter van seats the same group but not the bags, so it runs the day trips when the luggage stays at the hotel. Both options are on the quote when the luggage matters.
How is a multi-day program priced?
Per day, as one number with the driver, fuel and gratuity in it and tolls itemized at cost. On overnight legs the driver’s hotel is the one extra, and venue parking is passed through at cost. The quote lists every day and the total.
Does the driver speak English, and does the same driver stay with us?
Yes. The driver works from your itinerary, takes direction from your tour leader on the day, and stays with the group for the program. Days are planned inside the driver’s legal hours, settled on the quote rather than on the road.
How do we pay from outside the United States?
By card, online, from any country: a 25 percent deposit holds the dates and the balance is due seven days before the first service. The receipt and the booking summary arrive by email for your accounting.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. We provide COIs on request and can name your company or institution as additional insured where your contract or the venue requires it.
Who operates the bus?
A licensed motor carrier from our network, under its own authority and $5M liability insurance. Glyde arranges and coordinates the trip, and the operating carrier and its USDOT number are on your confirmation. You deal with one contact and one number throughout, and the driver’s cell reaches you the night before.

Price the program

The dates, the flights, the day-by-day plan and the headcount are enough to price the whole program, airport to airport.
