How a Javits day runs

The plan
01

Drop where the city points buses

The center publishes no bus rule of its own and says entry points vary by event. The city’s bus guidance points drop-off and pick-up to the service road west of 11th Avenue between 34th and 39th Streets, so we confirm the drop with the show before the date and the driver has it the night before.

02

Wait at a legal curb

City rules keep buses off the curb outside authorized spaces and limit idling to three minutes, so between runs the bus waits at designated bus parking on the West Side and comes back at the set time.

03

Inside the congestion zone

The center is below 60th Street, so a coach entering the zone pays the congestion toll. It is itemized at cost on the quote, with the crossing.

04

One contact, one number

One coordinator sets the plan, the team lead has the driver’s cell the night before, and a changed time goes to one number.

How booking works

Three steps
Step 01

Send the show, the dates and the headcount

The show name, the days you need, where the group starts and how many are riding.

Step 02

One all-in number the same day

Gratuity and fuel are in the number. Tolls and the congestion toll are itemized at cost.

Step 03

Approve, and it is on the calendar

Invoiced to the company, receipts your back office can file, driver info the day before.

Right-sized for your group

8 to 55-plus

A booth crew of 12 rides a Sprinter. A 30-person team rides a mini coach, and a big exhibitor’s hotel loop runs a full coach all day.

Sprinter Van
Up to 13 Passengers
Mini Bus
23–29 Passengers
Mini Coach
35–39 Passengers
Full Coach
55 Passengers

Bigger group? Multi-vehicle moves run as one coordinated plan with one departure time.

Questions, answered

Javits Center FAQ
Where do buses drop off at the Javits Center?
The center publishes no bus rule and says entry points vary by event. The city’s bus guidance points drop-off and pick-up to the service road west of 11th Avenue, between 34th and 39th Streets, so we confirm the drop with the show before the date.
Where does the bus wait during the show?
At designated bus parking on the West Side, never at an open curb. City rules limit idling to three minutes, so the bus parks, waits and comes back at the set time.
Can you run a hotel shuttle for the show week?
Yes. The Times Square, Penn Station and Hudson Yards hotels are about ten minutes away, and a loop is timed to the show hours for one day or the whole week. Some shows run their own hotel shuttles; ours runs for your team.
How far is the Javits from New Jersey?
About 50 minutes from Bergen County or Newark through the Lincoln Tunnel on a weekday morning, and longer from Staten Island.
Can this be invoiced to the company?
Yes. The quote is one all-in number with gratuity and fuel in it and tolls itemized at cost; a 25 percent deposit holds the date and the balance is invoiced seven days out, by card, ACH or check. NET terms and POs are available for established accounts.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. We provide COIs on request and can name your company as additional insured where your contract or the event requires it.
Who operates the bus?
A licensed motor carrier from our network, under its own authority and $5M liability insurance. Glyde arranges and coordinates the trip, and the operating carrier and its USDOT number are on your confirmation. You deal with one contact and one number throughout, and the driver’s cell reaches you the night before.

Price the show

The show, the dates and the headcount are enough to price one run or a week of loops.
