Prom night has three moves: everyone to the photos, the photos to the prom, and the prom home again. Glyde runs Sprinters, mini buses and coaches for prom groups and whole classes across North Jersey, the five boroughs and Long Island — a clean executive vehicle with a professional driver, sized to the group actually riding. A Sprinter for a group of friends, a coach when the school moves the class. Rates run $200 to $300 per hour with a 5-hour minimum; the quote comes back within a day.
The night’s legs
The group picked up at one house, or a few, and taken to the photo spot: a park, the waterfront, a backyard. The vehicle waits while the parents take their pictures.
Everyone arrives at the venue together and on time for the doors, with nobody parking or looking for a ride.
At the end of the night the group goes back to one house or to each original stop, on the schedule the parents set.
When the school runs transportation for the class, coaches from the school to the venue and back, sized to the sign-up list.
Who books
Prom transportation is usually booked by one parent for a group of friends, or by the school for the class. Either way the plan belongs to the parents or the school: the stops, the times and who rides are set before the night, and the driver keeps to it.
A chaperone rides. On any vehicle carrying minors without their parents, one adult from your group rides along. The driver’s job is the road; the chaperone’s job is the group — headcount at each stop, and the call to the driver if a time moves.
No alcohol on board, for anyone. It is in the terms every booking agrees to. The organizing parent gets the driver’s name and cell the night before, with every stop and time restated.
Set to your schedule
Most prom nights are one booking from the first pickup to the last drop-off: photos in the late afternoon, the prom in the evening, and the ride home when it ends. Tell us the first pickup, the venue and when the prom lets out; the schedule is built from that.
May and June Fridays and Saturdays book first, so send the date as soon as the school sets it. The quote states every hour the vehicle is reserved, so there is nothing to work out on the night. The quote you approve is the invoice you get.
8 to 55 seats
Count the students riding, plus the chaperone. A group of twelve and a chaperone fits a Sprinter; a class of fifty fills a full coach.
| Vehicle | Seats | Rate |

Four steps
The date, the pickup houses or the school, the prom venue, and how many students ride. A rough schedule is enough to start.
One itemized number: base hours, 10% gratuity and 5% fuel already in, tolls listed at cost. No account, no deposit to see it.
Approve the quote and place the deposit; the vehicle and driver are reserved. The balance is due seven days before the trip.
You get the driver’s name and cell by email the evening before, with every pickup restated. The chaperone gets the same information.
