Quinceañera and sweet 16 shuttles

A quinceañera or a sweet sixteen moves a lot of people on one schedule: family from out of town at a hotel, the Mass at the church, photos in between, the court arriving together for the grand entrance, and a group of friends who need a ride home at the end of the night. Glyde runs shuttles for quinceañeras and sweet sixteens across North Jersey, the five boroughs and Long Island — a clean executive mini coach or coach with a professional driver, sized to the people actually riding. One vehicle for the whole day or two running different legs. Rates run $200 to $300 per hour with a 5-hour minimum; the quote comes back within a day.

The day’s legs

Home or hotel to the church

Family and the court picked up at the house or the hotel block and dropped at the church door for the Mass, together and on time.

Church to the photos

Between the Mass and the reception, the group moves to the park or the spot for the photos, and the bus waits there for the next leg.

Photos to the hall

The court arrives at the reception together, ready for the grand entrance, instead of a line of cars looking for parking.

The hall back home

At the end of the night the bus takes guests back to the hotel or the house. Grandparents, cousins who flew in, and anyone who had a glass of wine all get home the same way.

The court and the friends

Damas, chambelanes, classmates

Two runs come up most. A quinceañera court — the damas, the chambelanes and the quinceañera — riding together from the house or the church to the hall. And for a sweet sixteen, a bus for the friends: pickup at school or one parent’s house, drop at the venue, and a ride back at the end so nobody is running a carpool at midnight. A court of fifteen usually fits a mini bus; a big class fills a mini coach.

A chaperone rides. On any vehicle carrying teenagers without their parents, one adult from your family rides along. The driver’s job is the road; the chaperone’s job is the group — headcount at each stop, who gets off where, and the call to the driver if a pickup time moves. Tell us who that person is and the driver gets their number the night before.

Made for the photos. Forward-facing seats, a professional driver, and a vehicle that looks right pulling up to a church or a hall entrance. Everyone rides together and arrives together; the celebration happens at the hall.

Timing for the day

Set to your schedule

Most quinceañera days run long: a morning or early-afternoon Mass, photos, and a reception that goes late. A sweet sixteen is usually one evening — a pickup before the party and a ride home after. Tell us which legs need a bus and when the first guests need to be where; the schedule is built from that, not from a fixed start time.

Saturday is the same rate as any other day. When the day runs past 10 hours, the quote moves to a full-day rate that covers the whole window. The quote states every hour the bus is reserved — the drive to your first pickup, every leg, and the return — so there is nothing to work out on the night. The quote you approve is the invoice you get.

Vehicles and what it costs

8 to 55 seats

Count the people riding each leg, not the guest list. A court of fifteen fits a mini bus; a hotel block of 40 usually puts 25 to 30 on the bus.

Vehicle Seats Rate
Sprinter Van up to 13 passengers from $200/hr
Mini Bus 23–29 passengers $200–300/hr by size
Mini Coach 35–39 passengers $200–300/hr by size
Full Coach 55 passengers up to $300/hr

Rates are $200 to $300 per hour by vehicle size with a 5-hour minimum per vehicle, billed garage-to-garage: the drive to your first pickup, every leg, the wait between them, and the return. Every quote includes 10% gratuity and a 5% fuel charge up front; tolls are itemized at cost. Days that run past 10 hours switch to a full-day rate. Exact per-vehicle rates are on the Pricing Guide.

How it works

Four steps

1. Send the details

The date, the church, the hall, the hotels, and how many people ride each leg. A rough schedule is enough to start; the court’s run can be added later.

2. A quote within a day

One itemized number: base hours, 10% gratuity and 5% fuel already in, tolls listed at cost. No account, no deposit to see it.

3. A 25% deposit holds the date

Approve the quote and place the deposit; the vehicle and driver are reserved. The balance is due seven days before the trip.

4. Driver info the night before

You get the driver’s name and cell by email the evening before, with every pickup restated. The chaperone on a teen run gets the same information.

Quinceañera and sweet 16 questions

FAQ

Can one bus cover the Mass, the photos and the reception?
Often, yes. When it is all the same day, one booking covers every leg and the wait between them is part of the window. Days past 10 hours move to the full-day rate. When two legs overlap, a second vehicle runs them.
Can the court ride separately from the guests?
Yes. The court can have its own run on a smaller vehicle while the guests ride a coach, or one vehicle can run both legs when the times allow. The quote lays out both.
Do you require an adult on a teen bus?
Yes. One adult from your family rides on any vehicle carrying teenagers without their parents. The driver drives; the chaperone manages the group.
How do we hold the date?
Approve the quote and place a 25% deposit; the balance is due seven days before the event. Spring and fall Saturdays book earliest, so send the date once the hall is set.
