School, camp and youth groups from North Jersey, Staten Island and the city to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson: Physics Day, the end-of-year trip, a camp day or Grad Nite. The bus waits all day and has everyone home together.
Price the Six Flags trip →Every trip runs under a licensed motor carrier’s New York or New Jersey DOT authority, with vehicles maintained and inspected on schedule.
Every driver is background-checked before they sit behind the wheel of a school group.
Each vehicle is checked before it rolls — not after the kids are loaded.
Every trip runs insured. A certificate of insurance is available for your school or organization on request.
Great Adventure is in Jackson, off the Turnpike and I-195, and spring is its school season: Physics Day, education days and the school music festival from late April into June, and Grad Nite in early June. The park publishes little about buses, so we plan the bus side with its group sales office.
Group rates start at 15 people, with one free admission for every 15 tickets. The park asks groups not to hand out tickets at the front entrance, so the chaperones hand them out on the bus.
For fall 2026 the park requires one chaperone, 21 or older, for every ten guests 17 or younger, with photo ID at the security entrance. Check the spring rules when you book.
The park charges for parking and its booths are cashless. It does not publish a bus lot or a bus drop-off, so we confirm both with group sales before the date.
Grad Nite runs from 8 PM to 1 AM, so the bus loads after one in the morning and the ride home is the last leg of a long night. The driver’s hours are planned around it.
Spot time is set ahead of departure, the chaperones hand out the tickets on the way, and the teacher and the driver have each other’s cell the night before.
About 70 minutes from Staten Island and about an hour and a half from Newark, Midtown or Bergen County on a weekday morning. Tolls are itemized at cost.
Round trips are quoted with the wait built in. The bus waits where the park puts buses and the driver stays with it, so the group leaves when the park day ends.
The return is timed to the park’s closing or to your pickup time at the school, and the group leader gets a heads-up when the bus is ten minutes out.
The trip date, students and chaperones, the school address, and the time on your confirmation if you have it.
Gratuity and fuel are in the number and tolls are itemized at cost: one price a business office or PTA can approve.
Driver info the day before, one contact the morning of, and the bus at the school before the bell.
A class of 25 with its chaperones rides a mini coach. Two classes with chaperones, up to 55, fill a full coach.
The whole grade? Several buses leave the school together and arrive together, coordinated as one trip.
“Top notch service, we will definitely be riding with Glyde again.”
The date, the headcount and the school or camp address are enough to price the day.
