A trip to the Christmas Spectacular is a whole day for a senior center, a church group, a class or an office: one bus from home, a drop near Radio City before the doors, and everyone back together after the show. Glyde runs mini buses, mini coaches and coaches from North Jersey, Staten Island and the boroughs for weekday shows from early November into January. Radio City sells group tickets from nine people up through its group sales office; we handle the bus.
Four moves
The senior center, the church lot, the school or the office, with everyone on one bus and nobody driving into Midtown in December.
Doors open an hour before the show and guests are asked to arrive 30 minutes ahead. The city’s holiday bus rules set where buses may drop on the streets around Radio City, and we confirm the spot with the show’s group sales before the date.
Midtown bus parking is tight in December, and the closest layover curbs are open only early in the morning and late in the afternoon. The bus waits where the city allows and is back at the drop point when the show lets out.
Many groups add a stop: lunch nearby, the tree at Rockefeller Center, the windows along Fifth Avenue on foot. Stops go on the plan, with the bus meeting the group at a legal curb.
Who rides
Most Christmas Spectacular groups are senior centers, church groups and schools, and the day is planned for them: unhurried boarding, the shortest walk the city’s rules allow, and a driver who waits.
One contact, one number. The group leader gets one quote and one contact. The driver’s name and cell come the night before.
A chaperone on school trips. On any bus carrying minors without their parents, one adult from your group rides along and keeps the headcount.
Set to your schedule
The season runs from early November into early January, with weekday shows as early as 11 in the morning. Tell us the show time and where the group leaves from; the departure is set to arrive 30 to 45 minutes before the show, with December traffic in Midtown built into the plan.
The quote states every hour the bus is reserved, from the pickup to the drop back home, with tolls and the Midtown congestion toll itemized at cost. The quote you approve is the invoice you get.
8 to 55 seats
Count the people riding. A senior center group of 20 rides a mini bus; a church trip of 50 fills a full coach.
| Vehicle | Seats | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Sprinter Van | up to 13 passengers | from $200/hr |
| Mini Bus | 23–29 passengers | $200–300/hr by size |
| Mini Coach | 35–39 passengers | $200–300/hr by size |
| Full Coach | 55 passengers | up to $300/hr |
Rates are $200 to $300 per hour by vehicle size with a 5-hour minimum per vehicle, billed garage-to-garage: the drive to your first pickup, every leg, the wait between them, and the return. Every quote includes 10% gratuity and a 5% fuel charge up front; tolls are itemized at cost. Days that run past 10 hours switch to a full-day rate. Exact per-vehicle rates are on the Pricing Guide.

Four steps
The show date and time, where the group leaves from, and how many people ride. Your group sales confirmation if you have it.
One itemized number: base hours, 10% gratuity and 5% fuel already in, tolls listed at cost. No account, no deposit to see it.
Approve the quote and place the deposit; the vehicle and driver are reserved. The balance is due seven days before the trip.
You get the driver’s name and cell by email the evening before, with every pickup restated. The group leader gets the same information.
