A church trip moves a congregation on one plan: the youth group to a retreat upstate, the choir to a concert, a parish day trip, a mission day in the city, or the whole community to a pilgrimage. Glyde runs coaches and mini coaches for churches, synagogues, mosques and faith groups across North Jersey, the five boroughs and Long Island — a clean executive vehicle with a professional driver, sized to the people actually riding. One vehicle for the day or several for a big group. Rates run $200 to $300 per hour with a 5-hour minimum; the quote comes back within a day.
Common trips
The youth group or a ministry to a retreat center upstate, in the Poconos or at the Shore. The coach either stays with the group or comes back for the ride home, whichever prices better.
The choir to a festival, a sister church or a concert hall, arriving together and on time for the warm-up.
A parish day trip to a shrine, a cathedral or a cultural site, with every stop on one schedule and the bus waiting at each. Trip guides: the Christmas Spectacular, Sight & Sound in Lancaster.
A regular run from a senior residence or a satellite lot to services, or a shuttle for Easter, Christmas or a big holiday when parking runs out.
Who rides
Two groups need the most care. Youth trips, where the pickup is at the church instead of twenty houses and a chaperone rides with the kids. And seniors, where unhurried boarding and a driver who waits matter more than speed. Tell us who is riding and the vehicle is chosen for them.
A chaperone rides. On any vehicle carrying minors without their parents, one adult from your group rides along. The driver’s job is the road; the chaperone’s job is the group — headcount at each stop, and the call to the driver if a time moves.
One invoice for the church. The quote is made out to the church or the ministry and can be paid by check, Zelle or card, with the deposit holding the date.
Set to your schedule
Most church trips are one long day: an early departure from the church lot, a day at the destination, and a return in the evening. Overnight retreats either keep the coach with the group or send it back and bring it again for the ride home; the quote prices both. Tell us the departure, the destination and when everyone needs to be back.
Sunday is the same rate as any other day. When the day runs past 10 hours, the quote moves to a full-day rate that covers the whole window. The quote states every hour the bus is reserved, so there is nothing to work out on the day. The quote you approve is the invoice you get.
8 to 55 seats
Count the people riding, not the membership list. A youth group of twenty fits a mini bus; a parish trip of fifty fills a full coach.

Four steps
The date, the departure point, the destination, and how many people ride. A rough schedule is enough to start.
One itemized number: base hours, 10% gratuity and 5% fuel already in, tolls listed at cost. No account, no deposit to see it.
Approve the quote and place the deposit; the vehicle and driver are reserved. The balance is due seven days before the trip.
You get the driver’s name and cell by email the evening before, with every pickup restated. The trip leader gets the same information.
