Planning a shuttle to Il Tulipano

Cedar Grove, NJ
✕

The venue

Il Tulipano is the Italian banquet estate at 1131 Pompton Avenue, Route 23 in Cedar Grove, with the Piazza courtyard for the ceremony, the Ballroom, the Gregorian Room and the Tulip Terrace, and weddings to about 330 guests. The venue has a large lot with valet, and get-ready rooms come with the day.

✕

Where guests stay

The venue’s own preferred hotels are on Route 46 in Fairfield, about ten minutes: the Best Western Plus Fairfield Executive Inn and the Hampton Inn and Suites Fairfield. Wayne on the Route 23 corridor (the Hilton Garden Inn, the Residence Inn) is about 15 minutes, and Parsippany or West Orange about 20. From Manhattan the estate is about 45 minutes through the Lincoln Tunnel and up Route 3 and 23.

✕

How we plan it

The entrance is straight off Route 23, a divided highway, so the approach depends on your direction and we confirm the coach entrance, the drop point under the porte-cochere and where the coach waits with the Il Tulipano events team the week before. The coach waits in the venue’s own lot where they direct it and pulls up on your coordinator’s call. Route 23, Route 46 and Route 3 are all coach roads, with no parkway on the run.

✕

Timing and vehicles

A full house from the Fairfield hotels is one 55-seat coach on two runs or two coaches on a single move; a mini coach handles a smaller block. From Manhattan one coach makes a day of it, out before the ceremony and back after the last dance. First pickups are timed so guests are in the Piazza 20 minutes before the ceremony, and the last coach waits through the send-off.

What your guests get
01

Out-of-town guests can’t get lost

Everyone leaves the hotel together and reaches the venue at the same time. No wrong address in the GPS, no cousin from Ohio missing the ceremony.

02

Grandparents don’t cross a lot in heels

Guests are dropped at the door, not in a field three blocks away.

03

Rain doesn’t ruin the look

Climate-controlled and door-to-door, so hair, makeup, gowns, and suits arrive exactly how they left.

04

The open bar isn’t a liability

Guests celebrate, then ride back to the hotel safely. We run the end-of-night route, not just the arrival.

05

Arrivals on your schedule

One wave or staggered by group, however you’ve planned the timing with your coordinator and venue.

06

One shuttle or a fleet

A van for the bridal party, a full coach for the whole guest list, or several moving in sync.

“We booked this company for all-day bridal party transportation, ending the night at Nicotra’s Ballroom in Staten Island, and it was one of the best decisions we made.”

“We booked this company for a wedding shuttle from Arlo Williamsburg to Weylin, and they nailed it. The pickup process was super organized, which made things easy for guests who weren’t familiar with the area.”

Questions, answered

Il Tulipano FAQ
Do you have a minimum number of hours?
Yes — a 5-hour minimum applies. Your quote reserves a dedicated bus and driver for your date — no shared rides, no surprises. The full billing breakdown is on the pricing page.
How do you plan the pickup and drop-off at Il Tulipano?
The entrance is straight off Route 23, a divided highway, so the approach depends on your direction and we confirm the coach entrance, the drop point under the porte-cochere and where the coach waits with the Il Tulipano events team the week before. The coach waits in the venue’s own lot where they direct it and pulls up on your coordinator’s call. Route 23, Route 46 and Route 3 are all coach roads, with no parkway on the run.
Can you cover both the trip to Il Tulipano and the rides back?
Yes. Most Il Tulipano weddings book a coordinated plan — guests from the hotel blocks to the venue, then return runs after the reception. The last coach waits, so nobody is stranded when the night runs long.
What if my guest count changes?
That’s normal. A rough number is fine to start; we confirm the final count two weeks out and adjust the vehicle plan if needed.
Which hotels do guests usually stay at for Il Tulipano weddings?
The venue’s own preferred hotels are on Route 46 in Fairfield, about ten minutes: the Best Western Plus Fairfield Executive Inn and the Hampton Inn and Suites Fairfield. Wayne on the Route 23 corridor (the Hilton Garden Inn, the Residence Inn) is about 15 minutes, and Parsippany or West Orange about 20. From Manhattan the estate is about 45 minutes through the Lincoln Tunnel and up Route 3 and 23.
When should we book a wedding shuttle for Il Tulipano?
Four to eight months out is typical for peak Saturday dates, around the time your hotel-block counts firm up. Closer dates can often still be covered — ask before assuming.
