Get your wedding quote →Liberty House is a waterfront restaurant and event venue at 76 Audrey Zapp Drive inside Liberty State Park, with two independent spaces, the Grand Ballroom (up to 325) and the Liberty Room (up to 150), each with its own entrance, cocktail room, ceremony space and gardens. The venue publishes complimentary valet for all guests; the park lot beside it takes a coach for the evening.
Most couples set up blocks downtown at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City, the Hyatt House or the Canopy by Hilton, or in Newport at the Westin or the Courtyard, all 10 to 15 minutes from the park gate. Hoboken blocks at the W Hoboken run about 20 minutes. In season, Manhattan guests can also come over on the Liberty Landing ferry, and we meet the boat.
Liberty State Park has one road in, off Turnpike exit 14B, and the drive to the venue is a park road with no traffic to speak of. We drop at the ballroom’s own entrance, park in the lot beside it, and start the return runs from the door when your coordinator calls it. Your coordinator has the driver’s cell the morning of.
A full Grand Ballroom is a two-coach job, or one 55-seat coach on two 15-minute runs to a downtown block; the Liberty Room fits one mini coach. First arrivals are timed 20 minutes before a garden ceremony. The last coach leaves at your contracted end and waits through the send-off.
