Planning a shuttle to The Glasshouse

Midtown West, Manhattan

The venue

The Glasshouse is at 660 Twelfth Avenue between West 48th and 49th, on the river side of Midtown West, with up to 800 seated and a separate ceremony space inside. There is no on-site parking; valet is available through the venue’s partners, and the cruise terminal sits across the avenue.

Where guests stay

Hudson Yards is the close block, the Equinox, the Pendry Manhattan West and the Courtyard Midtown West about 10 minutes. Times Square (the InterContinental, the Westin, the YOTEL) is also about 10, and the Weehawken and Jersey City waterfront (the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor, the Envue, the Hyatt Regency Jersey City) about 20 through the Lincoln Tunnel.

How we plan it

Twelfth Avenue is divided, so the coach arrives northbound or by the side streets to reach the venue’s curb, and on cruise-ship and Javits days the block fills early, so the runs are padded. West 49th is inside the congestion zone, and the toll goes on the quote at cost. The coach does a live drop at the door and waits on the west side north of 30th Street until your coordinator calls. Your coordinator has the driver’s cell the morning of.

Timing and vehicles

An 800-seat room is a fleet job: four or five coaches on a stagger, or three 55-seat coaches on loops from Midtown, all under one quote. A 300-guest wedding is two coaches. First pickups are timed so guests are inside 20 minutes before the ceremony, and the last coaches wait nearby through the send-off.

The day, handled

What your guests get
01

Out-of-town guests can’t get lost

Everyone leaves the hotel together and reaches the venue at the same time. No wrong address in the GPS, no cousin from Ohio missing the ceremony.

02

Grandparents don’t cross a lot in heels

Guests are dropped at the door, not in a field three blocks away.

03

Rain doesn’t ruin the look

Climate-controlled and door-to-door, so hair, makeup, gowns, and suits arrive exactly how they left.

04

The open bar isn’t a liability

Guests celebrate, then ride back to the hotel safely. We run the end-of-night route, not just the arrival.

05

Arrivals on your schedule

One wave or staggered by group, however you’ve planned the timing with your coordinator and venue.

06

One shuttle or a fleet

A van for the bridal party, a full coach for the whole guest list, or several moving in sync.

“We booked this company for a wedding shuttle from Arlo Williamsburg to Weylin, and they nailed it. The pickup process was super organized, which made things easy for guests who weren’t familiar with the area.”

Questions, answered

The Glasshouse FAQ
Do you have a minimum number of hours?
Yes — a 5-hour minimum applies. Your quote reserves a dedicated bus and driver for your date — no shared rides, no surprises. The full billing breakdown is on the pricing page.
How do you plan the pickup and drop-off at The Glasshouse?
Twelfth Avenue is divided, so the coach arrives northbound or by the side streets to reach the venue’s curb, and on cruise-ship and Javits days the block fills early, so the runs are padded. West 49th is inside the congestion zone, and the toll goes on the quote at cost. The coach does a live drop at the door and waits on the west side north of 30th Street until your coordinator calls. Your coordinator has the driver’s cell the morning of.
Can you cover both the trip to The Glasshouse and the rides back?
Yes. Most The Glasshouse weddings book a coordinated plan — guests from the hotel blocks to the venue, then return runs after the reception. The last coach waits, so nobody is stranded when the night runs long.
What if my guest count changes?
That’s normal. A rough number is fine to start; we confirm the final count two weeks out and adjust the vehicle plan if needed.
Which hotels do guests usually stay at for The Glasshouse weddings?
Hudson Yards is the close block, the Equinox, the Pendry Manhattan West and the Courtyard Midtown West about 10 minutes. Times Square (the InterContinental, the Westin, the YOTEL) is also about 10, and the Weehawken and Jersey City waterfront (the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor, the Envue, the Hyatt Regency Jersey City) about 20 through the Lincoln Tunnel.
When should we book a wedding shuttle for The Glasshouse?
Four to eight months out is typical for peak Saturday dates, around the time your hotel-block counts firm up. Closer dates can often still be covered — ask before assuming.
