Most couples set up blocks in Downtown Brooklyn and DUMBO: the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, the Hilton Brooklyn, the Sheraton Brooklyn and the Ace Hotel, all 15 to 20 minutes down Flatbush Avenue and Eastern Parkway. Manhattan blocks come over the Manhattan Bridge in 25 to 40 minutes.
We have run this one. The coach comes down Eastern Parkway and drops on Washington Avenue at the 990 entrance, steps from the Palm House and the Atrium, then waits in the Garden’s lot next door when there is room, or nearby when there is not, until your coordinator calls it back. On a peak spring weekend the Garden itself warns that the lot fills, so the plan is set with the events team the week before.
A full Palm House is one 55-seat coach on two runs from Downtown Brooklyn, or two coaches on a stagger for a single ceremony time; the Atrium fits one mini coach. First pickups are timed so guests are inside the Garden 20 minutes before the ceremony. The last coach leaves at your contracted end.
