Planning a shuttle to The Olde Mill Inn

Basking Ridge
✕

The venue

The Olde Mill Inn is the inn at 225 Route 202 in Basking Ridge, off Exit 30B of I-287, with the Grain House restaurant at the far end of its grounds. The Grand Washington Ballroom holds weddings of up to 250 guests, ceremonies are held in the English Garden Courtyard through the ballroom’s French doors, and the Grain House takes smaller weddings of up to 120.

✕

Where guests stay

Guests can stay at the inn itself, where couples book a block of rooms. Overflow blocks land in Warren and Liberty Corner, at the Somerset Hills Hotel and the Courtyard Basking Ridge, and in Morristown at the Hyatt Regency, each about 15 minutes away, and at the Bridgewater Marriott, about 20.

✕

How we plan it

The inn’s surface lots run north from the building to the Grain House and are shared with the inn’s own hotel guests, so we confirm with the events team the week before where the coach lets guests off at the ballroom entrance and where it waits during the reception, clear of the parking rows.

✕

Timing and vehicles

With part of the guest list sleeping at the inn, the coach works the overflow hotels: 100 guests from Warren and Morristown is two 55-seat coaches together, or one coach running two loops of about 15 minutes each way. First pickups land guests 20 minutes before the ceremony, and the last coach waits through the send-off and runs the hotels at the end of the night.

The day, handled

What your guests get
01

Out-of-town guests can’t get lost

Everyone leaves the hotel together and reaches the venue at the same time. No wrong address in the GPS, no cousin from Ohio missing the ceremony.

02

Grandparents don’t cross a lot in heels

Guests are dropped at the door, not in a field three blocks away.

03

Rain doesn’t ruin the look

Climate-controlled and door-to-door, so hair, makeup, gowns, and suits arrive exactly how they left.

04

The open bar isn’t a liability

Guests celebrate, then ride back to the hotel safely. We run the end-of-night route, not just the arrival.

05

Arrivals on your schedule

One wave or staggered by group, however you’ve planned the timing with your coordinator and venue.

06

One shuttle or a fleet

A van for the bridal party, a full coach for the whole guest list, or several moving in sync.

“We booked this company for all-day bridal party transportation, ending the night at Nicotra’s Ballroom in Staten Island, and it was one of the best decisions we made.”

“We booked this company for a wedding shuttle from Arlo Williamsburg to Weylin, and they nailed it. The pickup process was super organized, which made things easy for guests who weren’t familiar with the area.”

Questions, answered

The Olde Mill Inn FAQ
Do you have a minimum number of hours?
Yes — a 5-hour minimum applies. Your quote reserves a dedicated bus and driver for your date — no shared rides, no surprises. The full billing breakdown is on the pricing page.
How do you plan the pickup and drop-off at The Olde Mill Inn?
The inn’s surface lots run north from the building to the Grain House and are shared with the inn’s own hotel guests, so we confirm with the events team the week before where the coach lets guests off at the ballroom entrance and where it waits during the reception, clear of the parking rows.
Can you cover both the trip to The Olde Mill Inn and the rides back?
Yes. Most The Olde Mill Inn weddings book a coordinated plan — guests from the hotel blocks to the venue, then return runs after the reception. The last coach waits, so nobody is stranded when the night runs long.
What if my guest count changes?
That’s normal. A rough number is fine to start; we confirm the final count two weeks out and adjust the vehicle plan if needed.
Which hotels do guests usually stay at for The Olde Mill Inn weddings?
Guests can stay at the inn itself, where couples book a block of rooms. Overflow blocks land in Warren and Liberty Corner, at the Somerset Hills Hotel and the Courtyard Basking Ridge, and in Morristown at the Hyatt Regency, each about 15 minutes away, and at the Bridgewater Marriott, about 20.
When should we book a wedding shuttle for The Olde Mill Inn?
Four to eight months out is typical for peak Saturday dates, around the time your hotel-block counts firm up. Closer dates can often still be covered — ask before assuming.
