Its wedding listing gives 100 to 550 guests and shows valet at private entrances; ceremonies are held on site.
Most couples set up blocks on Davidson Avenue itself, at the Courtyard Somerset, the SpringHill Suites Somerset, the Hampton Inn & Suites Somerset or the Delta Hotels Somerset, all five minutes or less from the gate. The Bridgewater Marriott is about 10 minutes up Route 287; the Heldrich and the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick about 15.
The Palace sits at Route 287 exit 10, and the estate’s drive and private entrances were built for valet lines, so the coach drops at the East or West House door and parks on the grounds. With the Davidson Avenue hotels a few minutes away, one coach can loop the block instead of guests waiting for a second bus. Your coordinator has the driver’s cell the morning of.
A Whole House wedding is a three- or four-coach job on a stagger; East or West House weddings usually run two 55-seat coaches, or one coach on a Davidson Avenue loop. New Brunswick and Bridgewater blocks get their own run. The last coach leaves at your contracted end.
