Planning a shuttle to Pavilion on the Terrace

St. George, Staten Island
✕

The venue

Pavilion on the Terrace is the Greek Revival house at 404 Richmond Terrace, built around 1835 and the oldest building in the St. George Historic District, now a banquet venue facing the waterfront across Richmond Terrace. Couples hold the ceremony and the reception there, with a ballroom, a terrace and a bridal suite, and listings put it at about 150 seated. There is an on-site lot beside the house.

✕

Where guests stay

There are no guest rooms at the venue. Bay Ridge in Brooklyn, over the Verrazzano, is about 30 minutes away, the West Shore hotels on South Avenue, the Hilton Garden Inn, the Hampton Inn and Suites and the Fairfield, about 35, and the Lower Manhattan hotels near the ferry terminal about 40 by road. The Newark airport hotels in Elizabeth are about 45.

✕

How we plan it

The lot sits beside the house at Westervelt Avenue, with an S40 bus stop on the Richmond Terrace curb at its entrance, so the coach does not wait at the curb; we confirm with the venue the week before where guests step off and where the coach waits during the reception. The St. George ferry terminal is about a mile east, so guests who come over on the ferry can be met at the terminal and brought straight to the door.

✕

Timing and vehicles

A 150-guest wedding is three 55-seat coaches together, or two coaches with a second run from the West Shore hotels. First pickups land guests 20 minutes before the ceremony, and the last coach waits through the send-off and runs the hotels and the ferry terminal at the end of the night.

The day, handled

What your guests get
01

Out-of-town guests can’t get lost

Everyone leaves the hotel together and reaches the venue at the same time. No wrong address in the GPS, no cousin from Ohio missing the ceremony.

02

Grandparents don’t cross a lot in heels

Guests are dropped at the door, not in a field three blocks away.

03

Rain doesn’t ruin the look

Climate-controlled and door-to-door, so hair, makeup, gowns, and suits arrive exactly how they left.

04

The open bar isn’t a liability

Guests celebrate, then ride back to the hotel safely. We run the end-of-night route, not just the arrival.

05

Arrivals on your schedule

One wave or staggered by group, however you’ve planned the timing with your coordinator and venue.

06

One shuttle or a fleet

A van for the bridal party, a full coach for the whole guest list, or several moving in sync.

“We booked this company for all-day bridal party transportation, ending the night at Nicotra’s Ballroom in Staten Island, and it was one of the best decisions we made.”

“We booked this company for a wedding shuttle from Arlo Williamsburg to Weylin, and they nailed it. The pickup process was super organized, which made things easy for guests who weren’t familiar with the area.”

Questions, answered

Pavilion on the Terrace FAQ
Do you have a minimum number of hours?
Yes — a 5-hour minimum applies. Your quote reserves a dedicated bus and driver for your date — no shared rides, no surprises. The full billing breakdown is on the pricing page.
How do you plan the pickup and drop-off at Pavilion on the Terrace?
The lot sits beside the house at Westervelt Avenue, with an S40 bus stop on the Richmond Terrace curb at its entrance, so the coach does not wait at the curb; we confirm with the venue the week before where guests step off and where the coach waits during the reception. The St. George ferry terminal is about a mile east, so guests who come over on the ferry can be met at the terminal and brought straight to the door.
Can you cover both the trip to Pavilion on the Terrace and the rides back?
Yes. Most Pavilion on the Terrace weddings book a coordinated plan — guests from the hotel blocks to the venue, then return runs after the reception. The last coach waits, so nobody is stranded when the night runs long.
What if my guest count changes?
That’s normal. A rough number is fine to start; we confirm the final count two weeks out and adjust the vehicle plan if needed.
Which hotels do guests usually stay at for Pavilion on the Terrace weddings?
There are no guest rooms at the venue. Bay Ridge in Brooklyn, over the Verrazzano, is about 30 minutes away, the West Shore hotels on South Avenue, the Hilton Garden Inn, the Hampton Inn and Suites and the Fairfield, about 35, and the Lower Manhattan hotels near the ferry terminal about 40 by road. The Newark airport hotels in Elizabeth are about 45.
When should we book a wedding shuttle for Pavilion on the Terrace?
Four to eight months out is typical for peak Saturday dates, around the time your hotel-block counts firm up. Closer dates can often still be covered — ask before assuming.
