Planning a shuttle to Gotham Hall

Garment District, Manhattan
✕

The venue

Gotham Hall is the former Greenwich Savings Bank at 1356 Broadway and 36th Street, with a stained-glass dome over the Grand Ballroom. The ballroom seats up to 900 and holds 1,200 for a reception, with the Mezzanine (200 seated), the Lounge and the Oak Room for cocktails and smaller dinners; the Oak Room has its own private entrance off the main Broadway doors. Ceremonies are held under the dome. The venue runs no valet of its own and points guests to the self-park garages on 35th and 36th Streets.

✕

Where guests stay

Herald Square and the Garment District hotels are a few blocks away: the Courtyard Manhattan/Chelsea, the Fairfield Inn Times Square South, the Hampton Inn 35th Street. Times Square (the Marriott Marquis, Row NYC, the Novotel) is about ten minutes by coach. Penn Station is three blocks west, which makes this a common venue for a train-and-shuttle guest list.

✕

How we plan it

Broadway at 36th is a wide one-way avenue with a busy curb and a bus lane, so we confirm the drop point with your Gotham Hall event manager the week before: usually the Broadway doors, or the 36th Street side if the venue prefers. The coach does not idle on Broadway; it waits on a block the venue clears with us and returns on your coordinator’s call. Our driver runs the avenues, never the FDR, and the Midtown congestion fee is billed at cost.

✕

Timing and vehicles

A full ballroom is four 55-seat coaches on a stagger from a Midtown block, or two coaches on continuous loops; a Mezzanine wedding is one coach on two runs. First pickups are timed so guests are under the dome 20 minutes before the ceremony, and the last coach waits through the send-off.

The day, handled

What your guests get
01

Out-of-town guests can’t get lost

Everyone leaves the hotel together and reaches the venue at the same time. No wrong address in the GPS, no cousin from Ohio missing the ceremony.

02

Grandparents don’t cross a lot in heels

Guests are dropped at the door, not in a field three blocks away.

03

Rain doesn’t ruin the look

Climate-controlled and door-to-door, so hair, makeup, gowns, and suits arrive exactly how they left.

04

The open bar isn’t a liability

Guests celebrate, then ride back to the hotel safely. We run the end-of-night route, not just the arrival.

05

Arrivals on your schedule

One wave or staggered by group, however you’ve planned the timing with your coordinator and venue.

06

One shuttle or a fleet

A van for the bridal party, a full coach for the whole guest list, or several moving in sync.

“We booked this company for all-day bridal party transportation, ending the night at Nicotra’s Ballroom in Staten Island, and it was one of the best decisions we made.”

“We booked this company for a wedding shuttle from Arlo Williamsburg to Weylin, and they nailed it. The pickup process was super organized, which made things easy for guests who weren’t familiar with the area.”

Questions, answered

Gotham Hall FAQ
Do you have a minimum number of hours?
Yes — a 5-hour minimum applies. Your quote reserves a dedicated bus and driver for your date — no shared rides, no surprises. The full billing breakdown is on the pricing page.
How do you plan the pickup and drop-off at Gotham Hall?
Broadway at 36th is a wide one-way avenue with a busy curb and a bus lane, so we confirm the drop point with your Gotham Hall event manager the week before: usually the Broadway doors, or the 36th Street side if the venue prefers. The coach does not idle on Broadway; it waits on a block the venue clears with us and returns on your coordinator’s call. Our driver runs the avenues, never the FDR, and the Midtown congestion fee is billed at cost.
Can you cover both the trip to Gotham Hall and the rides back?
Yes. Most Gotham Hall weddings book a coordinated plan — guests from the hotel blocks to the venue, then return runs after the reception. The last coach waits, so nobody is stranded when the night runs long.
What if my guest count changes?
That’s normal. A rough number is fine to start; we confirm the final count two weeks out and adjust the vehicle plan if needed.
Which hotels do guests usually stay at for Gotham Hall weddings?
Herald Square and the Garment District hotels are a few blocks away: the Courtyard Manhattan/Chelsea, the Fairfield Inn Times Square South, the Hampton Inn 35th Street. Times Square (the Marriott Marquis, Row NYC, the Novotel) is about ten minutes by coach. Penn Station is three blocks west, which makes this a common venue for a train-and-shuttle guest list.
When should we book a wedding shuttle for Gotham Hall?
Four to eight months out is typical for peak Saturday dates, around the time your hotel-block counts firm up. Closer dates can often still be covered — ask before assuming.
