Most of the guest list sleeps on the estate, so the shuttle here is usually the city run: guests from a Manhattan hotel up in the afternoon and home after the reception, about 40 minutes each way, or a loop from the Tarrytown Metro-North station. Overflow blocks land on the White Plains Road hotel row (the Westchester Marriott, the Sheraton Tarrytown, the Courtyard, the SpringHill Suites), 10 minutes away, at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel on Route 9, 5 minutes, or in downtown White Plains, 20.
The estate’s own directions sheet says not to trust GPS, which sends drivers to the wrong end of Tarrytown, so our driver runs the estate’s route: Thruway exit 9, Route 119 west, Route 9 south, the third light onto East Sunnyside Lane, second entrance on the left. From New Jersey it is the Cuomo Bridge to the same exit 9. The estate has several buildings, so we confirm which door with your coordinator and the coach parks on the property between runs. Your coordinator has the driver’s cell the morning of.
