The River Room takes up to 200 guests for dinner and dancing, the Hudson Room handles cocktails, and the Ceremony Garden sits under a pergola with the river and the Highlands below. The Inn on the property has eight rooms for the wedding party, and parking and valet are included.
The Inn takes the wedding party and guests block in Cold Spring, the Pig Hill Inn and the Hudson House River Inn about 10 minutes from the venue. Peekskill (the Abbey Inn, the Holiday Inn Express) is about 15 minutes, Fishkill and Beacon (the Courtyard, the Residence Inn, the Hilton Garden Inn, the Roundhouse) about 20, and a Manhattan hotel about 80.
The venue’s own directions run the Palisades, the Saw Mill and the Taconic, none of which take a coach. Ours come up Route 9 from I-287 across the Cuomo Bridge, or 9W to the Bear Mountain Bridge and 9D north, and always use the Route 9 main entrance, never the Snake Hill Road side gate that GPS suggests. We drop at the front of the house and the coach waits on the property. Your coordinator has the driver’s cell the morning of.
A full River Room is one 55-seat coach on two runs from Cold Spring or Peekskill, or two coaches on a stagger; from Manhattan it is one coach per 50 guests as a full-day booking. First pickups are timed so guests are in the garden 20 minutes before the ceremony, and the last coach waits through the send-off.
