Get your wedding quote →The Brownstone is a historic catering house at 351 West Broadway in Paterson, in business since 1947, with the Grand Ballroom (400), the Main Ballroom (250), the Grand Conservatory (150, built for ceremonies and cocktails), the Clubroom, the Red Room and the Cherry Room. The venue does not publish parking details; the lot is on the property and the coach waits there.
The venue’s own recommended hotels are the Residence Inn Wayne, the Hilton Garden Inn Wayne, the Hampton Inn & Suites Fairfield and the Best Western Plus Fairfield Executive Inn; the Marriott Saddle Brook is the full-service option. Wayne is about 10 minutes out Route 23; Fairfield 15 to 20; Saddle Brook 15 on Route 80.
West Broadway is a city street on the west side of Paterson, a minute off Route 80, and the Brownstone’s entrance and lot are set up for buses. We drop at the front doors, park in the lot, and keep the coach there for the night so return runs start on the coordinator’s word, not after a drive back. Your coordinator has the driver’s cell the morning of.
A Grand Ballroom wedding is a two- or three-coach job; the Main Ballroom fits two coaches or one on two runs to the Wayne hotels. We stagger arrivals so the last coach is unloaded ten minutes before the ceremony. Return runs are timed to the contracted end, with the last coach waiting for the send-off.
