The Pavilion Room takes 150 to 250 guests and the Hudson Room 75 to 150, with the ceremony on the terrace above the river and an indoor option in the Pavilion when the weather turns. Valet, concierge and coat check come with the wedding package.
Most couples block rooms on the White Plains Road hotel row off I-287: the Westchester Marriott, the Sheraton Tarrytown, the Courtyard Tarrytown and the SpringHill Suites, about 10 minutes from the mansion. The Sleepy Hollow Hotel on Route 9 (the former DoubleTree) and Tarrytown House Estate are about 5 minutes, and downtown White Plains (the Cambria, the Sonesta, the Opus) about 20. From a Midtown hotel plan on 40 minutes each way.
The coach comes up the Thruway to exit 9 or I-287 to exit 1, then Route 9; the Saw Mill and the Hutch that car directions use are closed to buses. The mansion’s street address and its driveway are not the same place, so we confirm the drop point with the Abigail Kirsch event manager the week before, drop at the mansion entrance where the valet works, and the coach waits off the hilltop between runs. Your coordinator has the driver’s cell the morning of.
A full Pavilion Room is one 55-seat coach on two runs from the hotel row, or two coaches on a stagger; a Hudson Room wedding fits one coach. First pickups are timed so guests are on the terrace 20 minutes before the ceremony. From Manhattan one coach makes a day of it, up before the ceremony and back after the last dance. The last coach leaves at your contracted end and waits through the send-off.
