The venue publishes complimentary valet; its wedding listing gives up to 1,000 guests. The boulevard is wide and the lot is on the property, so coaches have room.
Staten Island’s branded hotels sit on the West Shore, 20 minutes across the island: the Hilton Garden Inn, the Hampton Inn & Suites and the Fairfield Inn & Suites. Many couples set the block in Brooklyn instead, 15 to 25 minutes over the Verrazzano, which is why the Vanderbilt is a shuttle wedding more often than not.
The Vanderbilt is five minutes from the Verrazzano on Father Capodanno Boulevard, a wide beachfront road with plenty of parking and staging on the property, so the coach drops and picks up at the front entrance and waits on site between runs. Brooklyn runs are a bridge and a boulevard; West Shore runs are the Expressway. The Verrazzano is tolled in both directions, itemized on the quote at cost. Your coordinator has the driver’s cell the morning of.
A full Grand Ballroom is a multi-coach job on a stagger; most Vanderbilt weddings run two 55-seat coaches from a Brooklyn block, or one coach on two runs when the block is 15 minutes away. First pickups are timed 20 minutes ahead of a beach ceremony. The last coach leaves at your contracted end and waits through the send-off.
